TYRA STRATALIS
Character
The fictional science-fiction continuity of Tyra Stratalis.
In her fictional continuity, Tyra Stratalis is a former Marine and ship-to-ship boarding specialist now working in private security.
She spent twelve years in active service, eventually leading a squad in close-quarters boarding operations. Her reputation was built less on aggression than on being the person who went through the breach first and made sure everyone else came back out. Her squad’s nickname for her — den mother — stuck because the same protective instinct followed her off the battlefield.
Her career ended in a dishonorable discharge after years of conflict with command over orders she believed put her people at unnecessary risk. She still thinks of herself as a Marine, even though the institution that shaped her is also the one that rejected her.
Now in her mid-thirties, she is no longer in peak deployment condition. Old injuries have accumulated, her reflexes are not what they were, and her body has softened somewhat from its active-service state. None of that makes her small, fragile, or remotely ordinary.
